Five Forks is a census-designated place just southeast of downtown Greenville, closer in than Simpsonville proper, about 11 miles, roughly 15-20 minutes via SC-14 and I-85. It's grown fast: 17,737 people at the 2020 Census, up to an estimated 18,656 by 2024. It's known locally for the Woodruff Road retail corridor and consistently well-rated schools, which is the biggest reason families specifically target this area over other nearby options.
